Resort Description

Rising above the village of Ludlow, in south-central Vermont, Okemo Mountain Resort is a four-season playground that built its reputation for quality and superior guest service as a winter retreat for skiers and snowboarders. Originally a small community-run ski hill, Okemo began to blossom when, in 1982, Tim and Diane Mueller purchased the Vermont ski area and transformed it into a popular, world-class resort destination. Skiing Vermont terrain at Okemo is quite the treat as its winter operations consistently receive accolades and win awards for snow quality, grooming, terrain parks, family programs, slopeside lodging, resort dining and its friendly, professional staff. The Muellers also run Crested Butte Mountain Resort, in Colorado, and state-owned Mount Sunapee Resort, in New Hampshire.

Okemo’s Jackson Gore base area is the newest development of the resort, and the Jackson Gore Inn serves as the ideal hub from which to launch family fun and adventure at any time of the year. Two 18-hole golf courses – Okemo Valley Golf Club and Tater Hill Golf Club – offer challenging play with spectacular scenery. The Spring House at Jackson Gore offers state-of-the-art fitness facilities and a family pool with splash features and fountains. Basketball and tennis round out the on-site recreational activities for summertime at Jackson Gore, but the area’s offerings extend to include hiking, biking, water sports, horseback riding, plus shopping, dining and touring Vermont’s spectacular countryside.

Location: Okemo Mountain Resort is conveniently located in south-central Vermont, above the village of Ludlow, just off Vermont Routes 103/100.
